Another Note on Lands' End Swimwear
Some of your comments brought to my attention a couple points I failed to mention in my earlier post. Lands' End does offer more modest suits for your teenage daughters. I'm always amazed at some of the really skimpy suits that are out there today. Lands' End ones are much more classy, in my opinion. And although, in the past, I've gotten swimsuits at Walmart or Target, I don't think I ever will again. True, they are less money. But for a reason. They're very thin and not as well made as the Lands' End one I got. It's no wonder I have to replace them so frequently. I'm pretty sure this Lands' End will last several years! (Or until I finally lose 50 pounds.) Hey, I can dream! Comments: I so agree about Lands End bathing suits and clothes in general. I so believe in the saying you get what you pay for. You buy cheap clothing and you get cheap clothing. I try really hard with my three girls and one son to make sure they are dressing age appropriately. It can be really hard with the skimpy too mature clothing lines even in the nicer department stores. I am grateful for companies like LE. Comments: Ooooh ooooh! I love Land's End suits and have been buying them for 5 years now. I still have my first one from 2003 and it is in great shape. A tip: you can find great deals on the previous seasons' suits around December on Lands End Overstocks. ~Funjenny Comments: It may very well just be me, but I cannot figure out how to enter the LE contest. I clicked on the word "this", but it brought me to some weird random integer site and I was very confused. I will check back tomorrow when I may or may not have had more sleep, and see if I am crazy. I REALLY need a new suit because I am unfortunately larger than I would like (aren't we all) and have been wearing my maternity swimsuit for a few years now. My youngest just turned 4 last week, so I think I better get a new suit so I don't get the guilt trip from the kids for not swimming with them anymore. Comments: Land's End bathing suits are awesome! Last year I got one and by the end of the summer it had frayed a bit in the chest, so they sent me a new one. The overstocks are my favorite, since I can get one there for about the same price as one that's NOT guaranteed. Comments: Hmm,never tried LandsEnd, but am willing. I like the loks of the stuff ontheir weblsit. so i'll enter:)) Comments: I just placed and order on LE, but if I win, I'm sure I can find more to buy:) www.suellenyoder.com Comments: Hi - I would love a land' end swimsuit for my slightly old and misshaped body too! Comments: Just took my eleven year old daughter to pick out a suit. Not much available in modest swimwear!! I would love to win something from Lands End, count me in! Thanks! Comments: I'd love to enter the Lands' End Swimwear giveaway. I'm the gal who is losing weight and I haven't bought (um wanted to see myself) in a swimsuit in at least 9 years. I really need one and hey it's only 1 or 2 compared to 10 or 12 for families, so please, please. Comments: I love the Land's end suits. Perfect for those 40 somethings who just cant wear the teeny tiny numbers available at the store but have not yet graduated to granny suits. Comments: I love Lands End. My kids wear uniforms to school, and there clothes are the only ones I don't end up making shorts out of pants!! Comments: LOVE Lands End bathing suits! They actually fit, and you can just tell from the fabric how much more quality they are. Also, my mom teaches water aerobics, and they are the only suits that don't shred from all the pool time she does! Comments: Hi :O) Just wanted to leave a comment to enter the swimsuit thing. Comments: Lands End is a great company. I don't believe I've ever regretted a purchase from them. I agree, the end of the season is the best time to get the very best prices! Comments: Loved your "hippo in a tutu" comment. Hit a bit close to home. Glad to hear about the EOY prices at LE. Thanks for the info. Nancy Comments: It is interesting the comments regarding the Lands End swim suits and teenage modesty. I was in Target with my 15 year old daughter this weekend having a modesty conversation. We decided (ok maybe it was me) that Target's swimsuits are NOT modest. Comments: I clicked on the link and it sent me to some weird number integrator website. HELP I want to enter! Comments: I completely agree about the modesty missing in swimsuits. Like a previous commenter, I think the Target suits are too skimpy! LE does a great job with coverage for everyone.
